$40 Smart Glasses?! Don't Be Stupid
Blackview smart glasses
Not Embarrassed/Not Bragging
Paid: $39.99 on Amazon
Of courses you can't really buy "Smart Glasses" for under $40, but these Blackview sunglasses are a great accessory for anyone looking to combine a decent looking pair of sunglasses with built-in headphones and microphone.

Who it's for
People with really sensitive ears who don't like to wear earbuds or anyone that thinks, "I pay $40 for sunglasses all the time, might as well get some that play music too!"
Who should skip
People that think these "Smart" sunglasses will do anything more than your earbuds and pair of sunglasses will do already.
I was pleased with how these glasses fit my face, the quality of the frames, the UV-protected lenses, and audio quality of the speakers and mic. For frames that hold a true 5+ hour battery life (I used these for over 5 hours straight and they were still playing music), the arms are surprisingly thin and light. The battery also comes to a full charge in under an hour using the proprietary charging cable (so don't lose it!).
Blackview does make a version of these glasses that are actually "Smart" glasses with a 12MP camera for taking photos or 4k videos and a marketed real-time voice recognition and live translation across more than 100 languages. That model retails on Amazon for under $115. I would be willing to give that model a try if you were looking to add a "GoPro" style camera on your face for your outdoor adventures. Both models are rated IP54 water resistant.
How it works.
Bluetooth connection on these was quick and easy. They also immediately turn back on and connect to my phone when you open the arms and put them on. There are some basic tap controls on the arms to start and stop music, answer/end calls and volume. The charging cable has dual connectors that attach magnetically to each arm.
The Mrs. Questionable Test.
Mrs. Questionable was pleased with how these glasses fit my face. She was less pleased that Ruff Ryders' Anthem could be clearly heard by the Questionable Kids on our way to the market.
Pros
- Nice looking frames and not too heavy
- Solid audio quality
- Decent battery life (tested at 5+ hours)
Cons
- At higher volumes, people can hear what you hear
- Proprietary charging cable
- There is nothing "Smart" about these glasses
