It's probably due to the power of music that so many gadgets are focused on bringing it to people in new ways, or on recapturing the music experiences of old. The CoolGeek M1 has been one of my favorite purchases in the last couple of years: a stylish way to relive my youth and put my old CD collection back to work.
The reaction.
The picture-frame mount is one of those eye-catching wall pieces people immediately ask about, and when they find out it plays CDs, their faces light up. Everyone wants to see your collection or tell you what they did with theirs.
The setup.
Bluetooth and a 3.5mm AUX jack make it easy to connect to any audio system or speakers. Mine is paired with my Fuse Audio record player over Bluetooth, so whatever the medium (records, CDs, or streaming), I'm listening through the same speakers in the parlor.
Already threw out your CDs?
Don't worry. Facebook Marketplace in your local market is full of amazing collections for pennies a disc. I once scored a box of more than 200 classic rock and country CDs for $20.
