A $40 Cocktail Shaker?! Are You @#$%&! Kidding Me?!

More money than sense? Some might say that. Mrs. Questionable has definitely said that.

Why I bought it.

This was one of my first Kickstarter-backed campaigns, right when I was getting into craft cocktails and small-batch bourbons. Having spent a few years bartending in college (shout out Ruby Tuesdays!), I had plenty of experience with shakers of all makes and sizes. The plastic ones cracked and leaked. The metal ones froze up and got stuck. Elevated Craft found their target audience when their Kickstarter ads hit my algorithm.

In use.

For starters, it's a beautiful product and a welcome addition to any home bar. High-quality engineering and materials, designed to make and serve cocktails at home. The screw top and seal make it leakproof, but also easy to open and close, no more freezing up like a thin metal shaker. The cap has a built-in strainer for easy pours that keep ice and pulp inside, plus clearly marked measurement rings so you can pour ingredients straight into the shaker. We've mixed batches, thrown the shaker in a bag like a thermos, and hours later the cocktails were still cold and still all in the shaker.

She won't admit it, too hung up on the $40 price tag, but I've never heard her complain while she's using it. And, coincidentally, we've gifted these to plenty of friends and family members (hers) over the years. I rest my case.
