We love Ninja. They make great products. They aren’t cheap, but you are often getting some of the best made and best performing products in their categories when you buy a Ninja appliance. And so while we already owned a lot of Ninja household tools, I was blissfully unaware of the Ninja Slushi FS301 until we were introduced to it by one of our river neighbors. Turns out a frozen mimosa slushi doesn't need to do much to sell itself.
This purchase was pure indulgence. Nobody needs a home slushi machine. We didn’t even really have room for it on the counters or in a cabinet. I’m pretty sure Mrs. Questionable was only joking when she gave me greenlight to get the Ninja Slushi the week before July 4th. Shazam!
The beauty of this indulgent (and expensive! $249.99!) device is its simplicity. Want a coke slushi? Pour in a coke and turn it on. Want frozen margaritas? Pour in your ingredients and turn it on. Simple cooling controls adjust the temperature of the metal cylinder that slowly brings whatever liquid (non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverages) you put into the machine to a perfect drinkable slush. Quiet operation, easy to load and easy to clean up. Drinks take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes depending on the alcohol or sugar level of the liquid and the settings you use.
My wife and I fight the Questionable kids over who gets to use the Ninja Slushi on hot weekends. I’m waiting for the right time to share my plan with Mrs. Questionable to turn our kitchen into a Fat Tuesday stand next Summer.
